Over the past 3 and a half weeks, I’ve been killing myself trying to turn an 18 year old computer into my own personal server. It took forever, but I succeeded. It started as me wanted to ditch Google Drive and have my own “cloud” storage for privacy reasons and all of that, but I ended up also including my own web server. That’s the reason for the new design; bishopjackson.com is no longer being hosted with Squarespace, but instead on my own server in my linen closet. Cool, huh?
Other than the design of the site, not much has changed around here, but I thought it would worth mentioning as the first update to the next site.
Wait… I lied. There is one change: the shop. The place to buy books has been moved over to a Blurb storefront. This was done to make everything easier on me. I no longer have to be a middleman for orders and you can order them directly from the printer; shipping time shouldn’t change at all for those of you who have bought things in the past.
There are still new books in the works. The Raw Zine Vol. 9 was release last month and volume 10 is slated to be released in a month (September 1st; may or may not be a little late). There is another book that I’m putting the final design toughing on that I’m hoping to have ready for release by the end of the year. This will be my first big hardcover photo book. Stay tuned for more information on that soon. And finally, I’m working through photographs for the next big hardcover book that I’m hoping to have ready for test printing by the second quarter of 2025 for a possible summer release. You may have seen some sample from that if you’re following me on Twitter.
Besides all of that, I’m planning to repair a couple of pieces of music equipment real soon and start making music again, while also preparing for Power Morphicon. The latter isn’t Bishop Jackson art related, but I’m excited about it. This one is going to be fun.
As always, thank you for your support and stay tuned for more art and news.
